Circular 11/90, on staffing for pupils with special educational needs (SEN), emphasises that there can be no blueprint for the staffing arrangements in individual schools since so much will depend on the particular circumstances and needs of the pupils and their special educational needs. It is for local education authorities to determine the allocation of resources for individual schools.
