§ Mr. GallieTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will investigate the implications of the Ayr sheriff court finding which concluded that social workers distorted facts in a children in care situation with respect to one family; and if he will make a statement on the wider implications of the finding of Ayr sheriff court for children in other families with whom Ayr social workers have been dealing.
§ Mr. Allan StewartI understand that a complaint has been made to the procurator fiscal about the actions of social workers involved in a case concerning children in Ayrshire. This complaint is under investigation and it would not be proper for me to comment on it or any implications arising from it.
