§ Mr. Dobson
To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will give the total expenditure by his Department on press and public relations in 1979–80 and in each following year up to and including 1991–92; and if he will give an estimate for 1992–93.

§ Mr. Forman
The expenditure figures for press and publicity by this Department for the financial years 1984–85 to 1992–93 are given in the table. Figures for 1979–80 to 1983–84 are not available on a comparable basis. The Department does not incur expenditure on public relations.
