The National Association of Health Authorities and Trusts has recently published (with financial assistance from the Department) the new edition of the "NHS Security Manual". The Department has provided copies for general managers and commended it to them as an excellent source of advice. A copy is also available in the Library.
Earlier this year the Department commissioned a study by management consultants of security issues at an NHS hospital. The report of the study is expected within the next few weeks.
