asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether their proposals to extend the acquisition rights of leaseholders will apply to the Crown Estate.

My honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in another place said on 6th March 1992 that, in the past, the Crown Estate has undertaken to abide by the consequences of leasehold legislation. I hope that an agreement will be reached on this occasion. An announcement will be made in due course.
