§ Mr. FormanThe proposal for a pay settlement for university academic staff, made by the parties to committee A of the negotiating machinery, will be considered at a meeting of committee B—which includes officials from my Department—on Thursday 16 July. It would not be appropriate for the Government to comment on the proposal in advance of that meeting.
