HC Deb 14 July 1992 vol 211 c649W
Mr. Harvey

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will establish a national travel card allowing pensioners to travel at concessionary rates on different forms of public transport without having to make arrangements with separate local or transport authorities.

Mr. Freeman

We have no plans to change the present arrangements for travel by pensioners on local bus services. Both British Rail and long-distance coach operators have their own commercial travel concessions for elderly people.
