§ Mr. YeoGuidance was provided for local authorities in local authority circular (92)4, a copy of which is available in the Library, to the effect that awards of the mobility component of disability living allowance should be disregarded in full in the charging assessment for people receiving residential care.
Guidance about the treatment of the mobility component of disability living allowance in charging for domiciliary and day services is to be issued later this year.
