§ Mr. MichaelTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answer of 7 July,Official Report, column 131 if he will make a statement on the reasons for deciding not to revise his assessment of uniform needs of the south Wales police following the undertaken assessment of the urban/rural split in the south Wales area.
§ Mr. Charles WardleWe have undertaken to include the definition of urban and rural areas in our review of the allocation formula. Decisions on the next round of allocations to individual forces will be informed of the outcome.
