Mr. Matthew Taylor

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will provide an estimate of the money spent by education and library boards in Northern Ireland in 1990-91 and 1991-92 on providing education and nursery care for three and four-year-olds.

¹ 1991–92 figures include estimated expenditure on teachers' salaries; in 1990–91 these costs were met by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland.

Expenditure on nursery classes in primary schools is included in primary schools expenditure and is not available separately.
