HC Deb 03 February 1992 vol 203 c94W
Mr. Hayes

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what extra help, over and above normal upratings, has been made available to help low-income families since 1987.

Mr. Jack

The restructuring of the income-related benefits in 1988 enabled extra help to be directed at low income families and from April this will be worth more than £600 million a year in real terms.
