Mr. Speller

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what aid in the field of education he will provide in 1992 for Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and The Gambia.

Mrs. Chalker

During 1992 we will continue our substantial educational and training programmes for these four countries, concentrating on in-service training for teachers, adult literacy, technical training and curriculum development. We are also maintaining our United Kingdom training programme for all four countries.
