§ Mr. Peter Lloyd[holding answer 26 November 1992]: Information about the incidence of deliberate self-harm prior to 1991 is not available. The numbers of prisoners aged under 21 who deliberately harmed themselves in 1991 was 1,156. Figures for 1992 are not yet available.
