§ Mr. Lennox-BoydIt is the Government's responsibility under the Commonwealth Development Corporation Act to set the policy framework in which the Commonwealth Development Corporation carries out its activities. Decisions on individual investments are the responsibility of its board. Assessment of the environmental aspects of proposed investments is an integral part of the Commonwealth Development Corporation's project appraisal and approval procedures. In these circumstances, it would not be appropriate for the Overseas Development Administration to undertake separate studies of proposed projects.
