Mr. McMaster

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he next plans to meet representatives of serving(a) chief police officers and (b) the Scottish Police Federation to discuss community policing and combating crime; and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 27 November 1992]: My right hon. Friend meets chief police officers and representatives of the Scottish Police Federation from time to time but has at present no plans for meetings on the lines proposed.
