The wholesale milk quota for Northern Ireland in 1991–92 is 1,246.285 million litres. Following recent decisions of the European Court of Justice this amount will be increased by an allocation of approximately 4 million litres to those who currently hold a SLOM (Mulder) quota and, by an as yet unknown amount, to those who have recently applied for SLOM (Mulder) quota. The direct sales quota for Northern Ireland in 1991–92 is 5.621 million litres.

Wholesale milk production in Northern Ireland for the period 1 April to 30 September 1991 is 732.49 million litres. This volume will be adjusted to take account of its butterfat content. Direct sales production will not be known until the end of the current quota year when direct sellers make their final returns.
