What proposals they have received from the Chairman of British Rail about the future of Railfreight Distribution's freightliner Container services; and if he will make a statement.

British Rail has today announced that, following a comprehensive review by independent consultants, its container carrying services in the UK will be streamlined in May 1992. I have arranged for a copy of BR's announcement to be placed in the Library of the House.
