HL Deb 21 October 1991 vol 531 c125WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

To what extent the programme for economic and industrial co-operation between the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union (Command 1637) is now being implemented; and by what mechanism British firms receive payment for goods and services provided by them.

Lord Reay

Where in their judgment profitable commercial opportunities can be found, British companies continue to do business with the former Soviet Union in the areas identified in theProgramme for Economic and Industrial Co-operation 1991–2000. The payment mechanism is a matter for the company concerned to resolve with its Soviet partner.
