§ Mr. Simon HughesTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what surveys his Department has carried out or commissioned in the past five years on the rat population in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. MacleanThe last Government survey into rodent population was carried out in 1978. A new survey to assess rat populations in England and Wales is being planned by this Department, in collaboration with the Institute of Environmental Health Officers. This survey is due to commence early in 1992.
