§ Mr. FearnTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has had from small industries concerning single wagonloads on railways.
§ Mr. Freeman[holding answer Friday 18 October 1991]: Since British Rail closed its loss-making Speedlink wagonload services on 8 July this year, we have received representations on behalf of five wagonload freight users. BR has retained more than 70 per cent. of domestic Speedlink and more than 85 per cent. of European Speedlink traffic on rail.
