- Retirement pensions (categories A and B)
- Widows' benefits
- Sickness benefit
- Invalidity benefit
- Maternity allowance
- Unemployment benefit
- Guardian's allowance
- Child's special allowance
- Pensioners' lump sum payments
- Rebates and incentives in respect of personal pensions
- Incentives in respect of new occupational pension schemes
- Redundancy payments
- The appropriate allocation to the National Health Service
- The relevant costs of administration
