§ Mr. Kenneth CarlisleElder Joust 91–2 was an air defence exercise which took place from 9 to 12 September 1991. It involved low flying between 10 and 12 September in parts of Scotland, the borders and north-east and eastern England from Northumbria to East Anglia. My Department received the following numbers of complaints and inquiries about low flying in these areas, not all of which were necessarily connected with the exercise, during that period:
