£ 1988–89 89,000 1989–90 51,000 1990–91 88,000 1991–921 100,000 1 Estimate. The Department continues to encourage the installation of smoke alarms in domestic premises in Scotland through media advertising and the provision of publicity material to the eight Scottish fire brigades.
