To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what steps he is taking to reduce the international arms trade.

The Government are playing a full part in various international initiatives to promote greater transparency and responsibility in the arms trade, with particular emphasis on setting up a universal and non-discriminatory register of arms transfers at the United Nations.
