To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many major capital projects have been approved since 1982 in the Barnet health authority area.

Mr. Dorrell

There have been seven major capital projects approved in Barnet health authority since 1982. Six have been completed; preparatory work began in October 1991 on the redevelopment of Barnet general hospital.
