(1) Net recurrent expenditure on education administration, both by education departments and recharged from central departments, shown by local authorities in their spending returns to the Department of the Environment. Net recurrent expenditure includes all expenditure other than capital financing costs, less income other than from specific Government grants.
(2) n/a indicates that a spending return is not available.
§ Mrs. MahonTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what proportion of the standard spending assessment in each of the metropolitan district councils is attributable to adult education; and how much is spent in cash terms.
§ Mr. EggarIt is not possible to identify what proportion of standard spending assessments is attributable to further education for adults. Nor do LEAs' routine expenditure returns separately identify their spending on this.
