§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what assessment he has made of the average income of householders in each of the proposed council tax bands, and of the ratio of the average income level in the top band to those in(a) the middle and (b) the lowest band.
§ Mr. CohenTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what percentage of average earnings is paid in taxation, including income tax, indirect taxes and national insurance contributions, for the average householder in(a) the lowest, (b) the middle and (c) the highest of the proposed council tax bands.
