HL Deb 25 November 1991 vol 532 cc76-7WA
The Earl of Kimberley

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in view of the large number of objections to the latest proposed route for the A.419 Latton bypass in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire they propose to hold a public inquiry.

The Minister of State, Department of Transport (Lord Brabazon of Tara)

Draft orders under the Highways Act 1980 for the A.419 Latton bypass were published on 17th October. The objection period closes on 17th December, and my right honourable friends the Secretaries of State for Transport and the Environment will then be able to decide whether or not to hold a public inquiry.
