§ Mr. ChopeNo. Compensation is already provided for in existing legislation: both for those from whom land is required for road schemes; and for those from whom no404W land is taken but whose properties depreciate in value because of such factors as noise, fumes and smoke arising as a direct result of the use of a new or altered highway.
