To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the cost of producing the White Paper, "Competing for Quality"; and how much the Government expect to raise through sales of the White Paper.

[holding answer on 21 November 1991]:The cost of printing, publishing and distribution were borne by HMSO which aims to recover these costs from the anticipated sales revenue of around £30,000. In addition, design costs of £10,700 were borne by HM Treasury.
