To ask the Secretary of State for Health on how many occasions in each of the last five years ambulances of the Lancashire ambulance service have been used to convey private patients.

The table shows the number of patient journeys carried out by the Lancashire ambulance service for each year from 1986 to 1990–91 for which a charge was made. Patients charged for include those moved on behalf of social services or other departments of local authorities, organisations on repayment, and private individuals.
