HC Deb 21 November 1991 vol 199 cc275-6W
Mr. McMaster

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he has any plans to improve benefits payable to disabled people in employment who have a reduced work capacity because of their disability; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Scott

In April 1992 the Government will introduce the new disability working allowance. This will be the first benefit in this country specifically intended to help disabled people to work even if their earning capacity is reduced.
