HL Deb 19 November 1991 vol 532 c62WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will undertake formal consultations on the draft Immigration Rules (Asylum) 1992, in parallel with the consultations on the Asylum Appeals (Procedure) Rules 1992.

The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)

Drafts of both a new asylum section for the Immigration Rules and separate Asylum Appeals (Procedure) Rules were made available when the Asylum Bill was published. My right honourable friends the Home Secretary and Lord Chancellor will take account of any comments which are received before new rules are made, and Parliament will have an opportunity to debate them.
