HC Deb 18 November 1991 vol 199 cc12-3W
Ms. Ruddock

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what byelaw-making powers the docklands light railway and the London Docklands development corporation respectively have; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Freeman

[holding answer 15 November 1991]: London Transport byelaws currently apply on the docklands light railway. In the ownership of the London Docklands development corporation, the docklands light railway would have powers as an independent railway undertaking to make byelaws under section 67 of the Transport Act 1962 as applied by section 84 of that Act. The London Docklands development corporation does not itself have byelaw-making powers.
