Mrs. Golding

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will supply the figures for the number of people(a) arrested,(b) charged and(c) convicted of a criminal offence under Operation Burlington conducted by the Metropolitan police in 1991;

(2) if he will list the offences under which people were charged when arrested under Operation Burlington conducted by the Metropolitan police in 1991.

I understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that under Operation Burlington and its successor, Operation Taurus, 817 people have been arrested, of whom 702 have been charged with one or more of the following criminal offences:
