§ 25. Mr. ColvinTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the proposals for interconnectors with Scotland and the Republic of Ireland following the privatisation of Northern Ireland Electricity.
§ Mr. HanleyHeads of agreement for a 250 MW interconnector between Northern Ireland and Scotland were signed in September by NIE and Scottish Power. NIE hopes to have the interconnector operational by late 1995/early 1996.
The re-establishment of the interconnector with the Republic of Ireland is under review.
