HC Deb 06 November 1991 vol 198 c181W
Sir Michael Neubert

To ask the Secretary of State for Health whether the recently announced survey of the health service in London will include consideration of hospital provision in the London borough of Havering.

Mrs. Virginia Bottomley

Sir Bernard Tomlinson, was appointed by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State to advise him on the development of London health services. He has been given a wide-ranging remit to look at the provision of health care, the organisation and provision of undergraduate medical teaching, post-graduate medical education and research and development. Although we expect him to focus mainly on central London, there may well be issues with wider implications where it is appropriate for him to include outer London in his consideration.
