§ Mr. Peter Lloyd[holding answer 14 May 1991]: Figures in the form requested have been held centrally only for the years since 1986. The figures in the table relate to deportation under section 3(6) of the Immigration Act 1971, where a recommendation for deportation made by a court was part of a custodial sentence, or under section 3(5)(b) of that Act where deportation on conducive grounds followed a custodial sentence.
