HC Deb 16 May 1991 vol 191 c270W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment why no ET training bonus was paid to Mr. T. Haslam of 105 Pendle road, Denton, Greater Manchester; and whether his Department will make an ex-gratia payment.

Mr. Jackson

The employment training training bonus was payable to trainees who spent at least three months on ET and who had successfully completed their training plan and/or achieved a vocational qualification or a credit towards one. Bonuses underwritten by the Employment Department were discontinued for new entrants to ET in April 1990.

My officials are looking into Mr. Haslam's case, and I will write to the honourable Gentleman shortly when I have their findings.
