To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list the total amount in grant allocation for(a) England, (b) Wales and (c) Scotland and the percentage change for the period 1986–87 to the year for which most recent figures are available.

The table sets out identifiable general Government expenditure on education and science from 1986–87 to 1989–90, the latest year for which data are available, by territorial area.
