HL Deb 08 May 1991 vol 528 cc48-9WA
The Marquess of Ailesbury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are aware that traffic congestion in Richmond Park at busy times is leading to breaches of the traffic regulations within the park; and whether they will ease the pressure by again permitting exit through the Robin Hood Gate.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (Baroness Blatch)

The decision to prohibit vehicular exit from Richmond Park at Robin Hood Gate was taken on the advice of the Metropolitan Police and the Department of Transport. A survey by consultants of traffic conditions in the area has recently been carried out and a report is expected in the autumn.
