§ Mr. DunnTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he has any proposals to restrict the power of the courts to sequestrate union assets.
§ Mr. ForthNo. Sequestration is a penalty which may be imposed on any organisation which commits contempt of court. To restrict the powers of the court to sequestrate union assets would, therefore, be to give a special, and totally unjustifiable, privilege to trade unions.
