HC Deb 07 May 1991 vol 190 c407W
Mr. Alfred Morris

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when it is expected that the roofless part of Glendon hospital in Montserrat, which was damaged by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, will be repaired; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Chalker

Glendon hospital is functioning normally albeit with less space available because the roofless part is not currently in use. Work on rehabilitation and redevelopment, including construction of a new roof, will go ahead as soon as the accommodation required to house the hospital temporarily is ready to be occupied.
