To ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether training providers in Bradford are to be paid only when trainees secure employment.

Mr. Jackson

The contracts for training in Bradford are negotiated between training providers and the Bradford training and enterprise council. The financial details of these contracts are commercial in confidence.

Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received about the reduction in training places, especially for those with special needs, in Bradford in the coming year; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Jackson

I have not received any recent representations concerning training places for those with special needs in Bradford. It is for Bradford training and enterprise council to decide with whom it contracts to provide training to meet local needs.
