Dr. Cunningham

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish a table showing(a) the capital bid for 1990–91 and (b) the capital allocation for 1990–91 for each local education authority in England.

Details of local authority plans and education annual capital guidelines for 1990–91 are set out below, together with bids and allocations for voluntary aided and special agreement schools.

1 Inner London education grants are paid to provide, through the support of expenditure on education, transitional help to charge-payers in Inner London boroughs and in the City of London where the authorities inherited responsibility for the education service from the Inner London Education Authority.—
