§ Mr. BattleTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security, pursuant to the oral answer of 21 March,Official Report, column 422, if he will publish the number of people on full social security benefit who were reimbursed for (a) the full 20 per cent. and (b) part of the 20 per cent. poll tax minimum payment in the current financial year.
§ Miss WiddecombeThere is no specific amount for the community charge in any one individual's benefit. The amount originally included in income support rates towards the 20 per cent. contribution was based on the average amount claimants were expected to have to pay. This now forms an integral part of overall rates.
