§ Mr. HinchliffeTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will state the reasons for the revision downwards of his calculation of European regional development fund receipts for the years 1991–92, 1992–93 and 1993–94 between the 1989 autumn statement and the 1990 autumn statement.
§ Mr. MellorFigures for European regional development fund receipts are not published in the autumn264W statement. However the downward revision in the estimates published in the 1991 Government expenditure plans compared to those in the 1990 plans are attributable to a number of factors, including Departments' estimates of the timing of receipts from the Commission and of the expected level of allocations to the United Kingdom of structural funds under the various structural fund objectives and Community support frameworks.
