§ Mr. GummerNo prosecutions have been taken under the Pesticides (Maximum Residue Levels in Food) Regulations 1988, but one consignment of Chinese rabbit has been refused entry into the United Kingdom because it was found to contain residues in excess of United Kingdom limits.
Where residues above United Kingdom or international maximum residue levels have been found in monitoring, action has been taken as described in the "Report of the Working Party on Pesticide Residues 1988–89." A copy of the report is available in the Library of the House.
