(2) if he will publish in the Official Report the grades and salary scales of officers in the Scottish pollution inspectorate.
§ Lord James Douglas-Hamilton[holding answer 15 March 1991]: There are currently 13 professional and eight administrative staff in post in Her Majesty's industrial pollution inspectorate in Scotland. There is one vacancy at unified grade 7 (industrial pollution inspector) level which we would anticipate filling shortly. The table shows grades and salary scales.
are adequate to carry out its necessary work including that associated with new legislation. The salary scales of the inspectorate professional officers are also under review.
