Mr. Barry Jones

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) what extra resources he will make available to make good deficiencies in the schools library service, as instanced by Her Majesty's inspectorate for Wales's annual report; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he proposes to make extra resources available to re-equip school laboratories and workshops; and if he will make a statement.

Sir Wyn Roberts

The responsibility for the allocation of resources for school libraries, laboratories and workshops lies with local education authorities which must decide such matters in line with their assessment of priorities within the education service.

Mr. Barry Jones

Sir Wyn Roberts

Mr. Barry Jones
